Spotlight - Sailing Home Easel Card (card one of three)

        Inside

Base card:  Night of Navy, 4 ¼ x 11 scored at 5 ½
Easel: Mossy Meadow, 4 x 10 ¼, scored at 5 ¼ and 7 ¾
Inside panel: Whisper White, 4 x 5 ¼
Come Sail Away DSP: 2 pieces 2 x 3 ¾

  • Emboss the largest panel only of the Mossy Meadow with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.
  • Stamp the anchor with Smoky Slate Ink on Whisper White.  Cut with coordinating die.  Cut two more anchors from Basic Black. (No need to stamp image.)  Adhere the three anchors together with Fine-Tip Glue Pen to form one thick anchor.
  • Stamp sentiment on Whisper White with Night of Navy Ink. Cut with the #4 Stitched Nested Labels (I’ve labeled these dies from smallest to largest.) Cut #5 die from Night of Navy. Layer together with a piece of fun foam under the white label.
  • Stamp largest sailboat on Whisper White with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Cut with coordinating die.  Color with Stampin’ Blends.
  • Wrap 24” of Linen Thread to the top of the embossed Mossy Meadow panel and knot in front. Adhere Mossy Meadow easel to Night of Navy base card.
  • Adhere DSP to the two smaller sections of the Mossy Meadow easel, which were created by the 5 ¼ and 7 ¾ score lines.  Fold the top score line up towards the embossed section and then fold down the bottom section down towards the bottom of the card. This creates the easel.
  • Stamp the rope and knots on the top of the Whisper White inside panel with Soft Suede Ink using the Stamparatus.
  • Stamp inside sentiment with Night of Navy Ink.  Adhere to inside of base card.
  • Attach the anchor to the Linen Thread. Put a Glue Dot to the bottom of the anchor, if desired.
  • Adhere the sentiment to the bottom left side of the easel.  Adhere the sailboat to the right side of the sentiment label using a few Dimensionals on the right side of the sailboat .
