Stampers Club November - Believe

This Santa sure does look jolly, doesn't he?  I had fun making this card and thought it would be a good image to use for our technique this month - Stampin' Blends!  Hope y'all like it!

Base card: Cherry Cobbler, 8 1/2 x 5 ½ scored at 4 ¼
Strips: 2 x 5 1/2 Wrapped in Plaid DSP and Shaded Spruce

Stamps:  Holly Jolly Christmas (HC)
Dies:  Jolly Seasons and Ornate Frames (HC)

  • With black pigment ink stamp Santa and "Believe" on Whisper White and heat emboss with clear powder. Die cut Santa with matching die.
  • Using a frame from Ornate Frames cut out "Believe" and also from Gold Foil sheet. Cut the frame cut from the gold foil down the center of the long side. Adhere to the back of "Believe" so that a gold border is created.
  • Put the two 2 inch strips of paper together and cut a banner. (With a pair of scissors cut from one corner to the center of the strip and then repeat on the opposite corner.  Offset the solid strip. Trim to fit card.
  • Color Santa with Stampin' Blends.
  • Layer all as in sample.
  • Gold dots on sentiment are punched from a scrap of the gold foil with an old fashioned standard sized hole punch.
