How to
Make Triangle Gatefold Card (colors indicated are for this card)
Measurements
Base panel 4
¼ x 5 ½ (Pretty Peacock)
Folded card
4 x 10 ½, scored at 5 ¼ (Whisper White)
*Patterned
panel 3 ¾ x 5 (Soft Seafoam)
Triangles (cute
two squares) 3 ½ x 3 ½, score down the middle on the diagonal
Belly Band 1
x 11 scored at 3 ⅜ and 7 ¾
- Put adhesive on one side only of the triangle and adhere to the left backside of the folded card. Repeat on right side of card. Triangle points will overlap the front of the folded card.
- *Adhere patterned panel to front of folded card. (see asterisk below)
- Adhere the folded card to the base panel.
- Fold Belly Band on score lines, overlapping right to left. Be sure to only put adhesive on the area of the band that will overlap the other side of the band. The seam will be on the front of the card as the circle elements will cover the seam. The band should slide easily over the card.
- *Stamp the patterned panel before assembling per above instructions. Die cut the net from Under the Sea dies on Whisper White. Sponge Pretty Peacock ink randomly on Soft Seafoam panel. SAVE the inked net! You can now make the card following the instructions above.
- Create the elements for the circle. Stamp the coral on Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie scraps with Melon Mambo ink. Die cut with coordinating die.
- Cut sea fern from Granny Apple Green scrap.
- Cut sand dollar/starfish from Crumb Cake scrap.
- Die cut “happy” from the Well Written die set from Pretty Peacock scrap.
- Cut circle from Whisper White with Stitched Shapes circle.
- Cut slightly larger circle from Pretty Peacock cardstock.
- Adhere all as in sample. (I used fine tip glue)
- Adhere completed circle to the front of the belly band.
- Inside: Stamped net stamp with Pretty Peacock ink, stamping off first and then stamping second and third generation images. Stamp sentiment with full strength Pretty Peacock ink.
